Easy Linguine with Clams

This simple linguine with clams recipe is a cheap choice that doesn't skimp on taste. You can make a tasty pasta dish with just a few ingredients that's great for a weeknight meal or a special event. The salty sweetness of the clams goes well with the garlicky white wine sauce to make a dish that your family and friends will love.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb linguine pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 dozen littleneck clams, scrubbed
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes optional

Instructions:

Follow the directions on the package to cook the linguine until it is al dente

Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat

Add the minced garlic and cook for about one to two minutes, until the garlic smells good

Add the white wine and bring to a low boil

Clean the clams and put them in the pan

Cover and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the clams open

Get rid of any clams that haven't been opened yet

You can add salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to the sauce if you like

Toss the cooked linguine with the clam sauce in the pan after adding it

Add chopped parsley on top, and serve hot
