Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- Lettuce leaves, for serving
- Fresh herbs cilantro, mint, basil, for garnish
- Rice noodles or rice, for serving
- Sliced cucumbers, for serving
- Chili sauce, for dipping
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400F 200C
In a large bowl, combine ground pork, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, grated ginger, black pepper, and beaten egg
Mix until well combined
Shape the mixture into small meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Bake the pork meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the accompaniments
Cook rice noodles or rice according to package instructions
Serve Vietnamese-style pork meatballs over lettuce leaves, rice noodles or rice
Garnish with fresh herbs and sliced cucumbers
Drizzle with chili sauce for extra flavor and serve immediately
